Dear Fellow Citizens!
Dear Veterans of the Great Patriotic War!
Please accept my sincere greetings on the Victory Day the holiday that bestows unique colours of the native land on our life and illuminates it with special light. This year we celebrate its 65th anniversary, which is a nice, memorable occasion to address the events symbolizing the spring of the rescued mankind and its peaceful future, to contribute to the deed of those who facilitated victory on the battlefield and forged it at the rear. This deed is engraved into the world history for ever. No one can darken the eternal memory of it, even by suppression, reassessment or distortion.
The national character of the holiday, commemoration of fascism conquerors is not merely a wonderful tradition. The flow of time, the distance of the past let us comprehend the scope, the consequences and the significance of the war, as it was truly Great Patriotic for its participants and the entire nation. It shall remain a demonstration of real active conscious patriotism and ardent service to the Motherland for the future generations. It is of utmost importance nowadays, in the period of hardships for Ukraine.
Let us remember the names of those who gained the Victory at the expense of their lives: the victims at the battlefields and in the guerrilla warfare, the martyrs of convict prisons and concentration camps, the victims of wounds and illnesses of the war, the perished in the peaceful time. Let them rest in peace!
I address dear veterans with deep respect and gratitude for the holiday they won. I wish you happiness, health, public respect, because you truly deserve it.
May the memory of the Great Victory inspire you, dear fellow citizens!
